Team ASEAN Futsal were crowned champions of the 2026 Piala Keputeraan Futsal Championship after defeating BK Sahabat X AR in the final at the Multipurpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas yesterday.
Having topped Group D, ASEAN Futsal produced an impressive run throughout the tournament, before progressing through the quarter-finals and semi-finals.
Their run culminated in victory over BK Sahabat X AR in the final to secure the championship title.
Individual awards were also presented at the conclusion of the tournament, with DS X Kota’s Adzman Jiril named Top Scorer.
ASEAN Futsal goalkeeper Abdul Fakhrul Akram Abdul Halim received the Goleiro Award, while BK Sahabat X AR’s Kairul Saukri was crowned Best Player.
The biennial tournament featured 20 local teams, including elite sides from Singapore and Malaysia, providing a competitive platform for futsal players from across the region.
The tournament Joint Chairman Thomas Koh Kok Pang presented the championship trophy and prizes to the winner, while joint chairman Firoz Khan Namroz Khan presented the runners-up trophy and prizes to BK Sahabat X AR in second place and DS X Kota in third.
