Brunei Darussalam is still currently in the Southwest Monsoon, which will generally persist until the end of September. Active weather conditions are expected until 9th of September with occasional showers, heavy and thundery at times, affecting many areas of the country.
Wind gust of up to 45 kilometres per hour is expected during or near heavy and thundery showers. Sea conditions are generally at Slight state, with wave height between 0.5 and 1 meter. The public are advised to take precautions with respect to the forecast active weather. There is high risk of flash floods especially at low-lying and flood prone areas as well as near river banks during continuous heavy rain and also during high tide. Risk of landslide, fallen trees and blown off roofs are also possible during heavy showers and windy condition.
