The Ministry of Education, through the Scholarship Management Department held a Signing Ceremony of Agreement as well as an Award Ceremony for the Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD Chancellor's Scholar and the Universiti Teknologi Brunei, UTB's Scholars scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic session. It took place on 30th September afternoon at the Legislative Council Building.
The signing of agreement was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr. Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Minister of Education. Signing on behalf of UBD was Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD, while UTB was represented by its Vice Chancellor, Datin Paduka Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman. Four outstanding students received the UBD Chancellor's Scholar scholarships to pursue their Master's and Doctor of Philosophy degrees, while one student was awarded UTB's Scholars scholarship to undertake a Doctor of Philosophy degree.
