23 participants comprising 18 Qari and 5 Qariah presented their respective readings during the semi-finals of the National Musabaqah Al-Quran for Adults 2026. The competition which is held for three consecutive days is taking place at the Dewan Muzakarah, International Convention Centre, Berakas.
Present in the morning part of the event was Awang Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Director of Islamic Da'wah Centre. 41 selected participants comprising 32 Qari and 9 Qariah have gone through the Preliminary Level of the Musabaqah Al-Quran Reading for Adults organised by the Mosque Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs last October. The Musabaqah is hoped to further advance and develop the field of Al-Quran and to encourage the community towards Al-Quran literacy.
