Air quality in Belait deteriorated to the unhealthy level Monday morning as haze conditions worsened across Brunei Darussalam, with all four districts recording higher Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) readings compared to 7am.
At 9am today, Belait recorded a PSI of 104, up from 81 at 7am, moving from the moderate category into the unhealthy range, according to the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe), Ministry of Development.
The other three districts remained in the moderate category, although their readings also increased.
Brunei-Muara recorded a PSI of 88, compared to 75 at 7am, while Temburong rose from 70 to 82 and Tutong increased from 68 to 92.
