The importance of innovation, collaboration and visionary leadership in driving education forward were among the matters highlighted during the Official Opening of Bett Asia 2025, held at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Representing the country at the Bett Asia 2025 was the Ministry of Education.
The delegation was led by Pengiran Doctor Mohamad Iskandar bin Pengiran Haji Petra, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Corporate, Ministry of Education. Pengiran Dr Mohamad Iskandar during the Ministerial Perspectives Panel Discussion, “Learning to Innovate", in his remarks stressed on how to build capacity for innovation through teacher-first and leadership approaches, and how equity in education can be strengthened with Smart Classrooms, digital platforms, and nationwide AI-readiness initiatives.
Bett Asia 2025 provided a valuable platform for Brunei Darussalam to share its national initiatives while learning from the diverse experiences of other education systems across the region. The Ministry of Education reaffirms its commitment to advancing the country's education system in line with Wawasan Brunei 2035 and the global Education 2030 agenda, ensuring learners are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
