Boost for AI infrastructure development

UNN-Vobile, Inc deal signals international confidence in planned AI-capable data centre

Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd (UNN) and Vobile, Inc have signed a multi-million-dollar commercial agreement, under which Vobile, Inc will be onboarded as a customer and utilise up to 25MW of capacity at UNN’s planned artificial intelligence (AI)-capable data centre.

Acting Chief Executive Officer of UNN Christopher Phan and Chief Executive Officer of Vobile, Inc Yangbin Wang signed the landmark agreement at a signing ceremony held at UNN’s Tungku Submarine Cable Landing Station on September 3, 2026. The ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications) at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and UNN Board Director Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim.

UNN’s planned AI-capable data centre, which is expected to come online in 2028 and will be supported by NVIDIA GPU systems, will help Vobile, Inc expand the capabilities of its DreamMaker Services platform for AI content creation and copyright protection services used by film and television studios, independent producers, and content creators.

The agreement reflects early customer confidence in UNN’s capabilities to support the development of infrastructure for AI workloads and other digital technologies. It also demonstrates Brunei Darussalam’s growing readiness to create opportunities for international technology companies with demanding AI workloads, supporting economic diversification and strengthening the country’s regional competitiveness.
