Briefing raises awareness on human trafficking

In efforts to enhance awareness and strengthen initiatives to combat human trafficking crimes in Brunei Darussalam, the Human Trafficking Investigation Unit (USPM) of the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ), Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) conducted an outreach briefing on Trafficking in Persons (TIP) on Thursday for frontliners comprising officers and employees of Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd.

Held at Pulau Muara Besar, the main objective of the briefing was to educate and raise the awareness of participants on how to identify potential victims of human trafficking. Frontline officers and employees were encouraged to remain vigilant and alert towards individuals who may be vulnerable to exploitation or at risk of becoming victims of human trafficking.

Close cooperation among relevant stakeholders is crucial in assisting the RBPF in combating this crime more effectively. – James Kon
