Initiatives such as the BruHealth 5.0 with its integration of artificial intelligence, AI-powered features have set the stage for a more proactive, data-driven and patient-centred healthcare system. This aligns with Wawasan Brunei 2035 namely creating a dynamic, sustainable, and high-quality healthcare sector that meets the needs of the people. The matter was among those touched upon at the 3rd Brunei Medical, Dental, Allied Health Students Conference 2025.
In her speech, Doctor Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, also said that medical students need to understand and utilise AI technologies while ensuring that innovation is balanced with ethics and patient's trust. Held at the Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre, the conference aimed to enhance and medical and clinical knowledge and skills exchange among the students.
