The Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB), the Department of Schools and the Department of Private Education led a discussion yesterday as part of continued efforts to coordinate Brunei’s participation in the International Unity and Madani Integration Camp ‘Kemping Madani 4.0’, slated to take place from August 18 to 20, 2026.
The Department of Schools and the Department of Private Education provided an opportunity for schools under the PGGMB to participate in the programme, which the association has accepted and agreed to represent the nation at this year’s camp. The association described the opportunity as a mark of the ministry’s confidence and trust in PGGMB, adding that preparations for the delegation will begin immediately.
Among those attending the meeting were PGGMB President Haji Mustapa bin Haji Masri together with members of the association’s committee, Assistant Director of the Department of Private Education, Hajah Hamidah binti Haji Daud, the representative from the Department of School, Mal Hafidah binti Haji Malek, and department officers.
Sekolah Kebangsaan Pekan Menumbok will be organising the international camp in collaboration with the Kuala Penyu District Education Office and the Sabah State Education Department, which has collaboratively extended a special invitation to schools from Brunei.
The camp aims to enhance students’ talent development and character-building at the international level, expanding international educational networks and collaborations, fostering a generation that is patriotic and devoted to religion, race and nation, and developing well-rounded individuals equipped with the skills and resilience needed to face the challenges of today’s world. – Daniel Lim
