The Brunei billiard team competed in the DPL Nineball Invitational Labuan 2026, held at Davids Pool Labuan from September 16-20, 2026.
The national contingent, comprising Ahmad Taufiq, Md Qusyairi, Md Iman, and Md Faiz, joined around 60 billiard players from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines in the championship. Bruneian cueist Md Iman secured a place in the final after defeating Arnel Baubista of the Philippines 8-4 in the semi-finals. In the final, Rico Herman of Indonesia proved too strong for Md Iman, cruising to a 10-3 victory to claim the championship title.
Earlier in the tournament, Md Faiz was eliminated in the quarter-finals following a 4-8 defeat to Rico Herman of Indonesia, while Ahmad Taufiq was also knocked out at the same stage after losing 8-3 to Arnel Baubista of the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Md Qusyairi recorded one win and three losses in the preliminary stage, failing to advance to the knockout rounds.
