The 2nd National Literature Symposium, drew its curtains on 19th November morning with the presentation of a resolution which included developing Brunei Darussalam as a centre for the development of Islamic literature. The closing ceremony was held at the Language and Literature Bureau, Berakas.
Present was Dr Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. 14 working papers were presented including a keynote speech focusing on the literary activities of Allahyarham Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama Ustaz Haji Awang Mohd Zain bin Haji Serudin.
