The Licensing and Enforcement Division of the Temburong District Office conducted inspections at several locations around Mukim Bokok in the Temburong District.

The inspections found one company in violation of the provisions under the Miscellaneous Offences Act for improperly dumping and piling up rubbish in an unauthorised area.

The workshop was issued with a compound fine of BND1,000 and was given seven days to settle the amount.

Failure to pay within the stipulated period may result in the company being prosecuted in court, where upon conviction, the offender may face a fine of not less than BND2,000 and not exceeding BND10,000.
