Completing Challenging Expedition

A local, Abdul Halim bin Adi recently completed a gruelling 7-day expedition to the Everest Base Camp. Travelling on foot for 8 to 9 hours a day, he managed to reach the Everest Base Camp in Nepal on the 15th of October.

In an exclusive interview, Abdul Halim said that prior to the expedition, he had been preparing meticulously for months, including weekly hikes. The journey began with a flight to Kathmandu, Nepal, followed by an 8-hour minivan ride to Ramechap. He then took a domestic flight to Lukla, the starting point for the Everest Base Camp trek. At the camp, a Brunei Darussalam flag flew proudly with the Everest Mountain as the backdrop.

Abdul Halim hoped his achievement can become a source of inspiration, and called out for more people to join the challenging expedition to raise the flag, full of pride and love towards the nation.
