From January to September this year, 194 people have embraced Islam with 92 of them from Brunei Muara District. The number continues to increase as a Chinese man has chosen Islam as his new life belief. The conversion ceremony was held at the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque, Kampung Manggis/Madang, 24th October morning.
Awang Chua Kuang Liang is now known as Awang Muhammad Yusuf Liang bin Abdullah Chua. Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.
