The close bilateral ties between Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom was among the matters emphasised during a Courtesy Call by the Acting British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam to the Speaker of the Legislative Council. Also highlighted was the collaboration at all levels, and the friendly ties between the people of both nations that continue to be strengthened. Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib received the courtesy call from Ken O'Flaherty at the Dewan Majlis building.
Also discussed were collaboration in various fields, aside from efforts to enhance ties between parliaments through information and experience sharing. Both parties also exchanged views on global issues.
