The new Year Three Islamic Education Textbook and Curriculum that will be used next year will be a catalyst for a more dynamic, fun and meaningful learning experience for primary school students nationwide. This was among the matters emphasised at the Socialisation Session of the new Year Three Islamic Education Curriculum for head religious teachers and teachers who teach Year Three Islamic Education.
The session aimed to provide initial exposure to religious education teachers in primary schools on the structure and objectives of the new curriculum as well as the intended teaching strategies. The coordination of the new curriculum is the result of close collaboration between experts from the Department of Curriculum Development, Ministry of Education; Curriculum Division, Islamic Studies Department; State Mufti Department, Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College; Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University; Universiti Brunei Darussalam; as well as the Language and Literature Bureau.
