Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Manggis Madang held a Dikir Syarafil Anam ceremony last Saturday evening in conjunction with the 10th night of the Maulidur Rasul 1448 Hijrah celebration.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar and Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Awang Haji Adi Ihram bin Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud attended the ceremony.
Also present were representatives from the Ministry of Health’s Dikir group and the Youth Development Centre, as well as advisers and members of the mosque’s Takmir Committee and congregants.
The ceremony featured the recitation of Dikir Syarafil Anam, led by Imam Awang Nuzli bin Haji Jumat.
It concluded with the recitation of Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, led by Imam Muhammad Khaizuran Amali bin Haji Kamsani.
The religious gathering was organised to enliven the Maulidur Rasul celebration while providing participants with an opportunity to reflect on the life, struggles, noble character and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
It also sought to strengthen the Muslim community’s love for the Prophet (pbuh), foster closer relations among residents and promote a spirit of brotherhood within the community.
The mosque’s management and Takmir Committee expressed appreciation to the guests, Dikir groups, participating agencies and congregants for contributing to the ceremony.
It was hoped that this year’s Maulidur Rasul celebration would encourage Muslims to deepen their love for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and practise his Sunnah in their daily lives. – Lyna Mohamad
