The Ministry of Defence informed that the Royal Brunei Air Force is carried out an EXERCISE ALAP-ALAP SERIES X/2025 from 9th February to Friday, the 13th of February at several selected locations across three districts namely, within Brunei-Muara District, Tutong District, and Belait District.
Throughout the duration of the exercise, members of the public are advised not to be alarmed by the increased movement of military assets and personnel through both land routes and airspace. In this regard, road users who are expected to be affected are advised to use alternative routes to ensure smooth movement and safety of all parties. The use of simulated explosives and the sound of gunfire will take place in the vicinity of the exercise locations.
Members of the public are also strictly prohibited from approaching, entering, or remaining within the exercise areas in order to prevent any undesirable incidents, thereby ensuring public safety is continuously safeguarded. At the same time, the Ministry of Defence also emphasizes that no photographs or video recordings pertaining to this exercise are to be taken or disseminated on any social media platforms, in order to preserve the security, confidentiality and integrity of the exercise's execution. Any dissemination of unverified or false information constitutes an offence under Section 34 of the Public Order Act, Chapter 148 – Dissemination of False Report.
