The Second Meeting of the 21st Legislative Council session lowered its curtain, 9th August 2025, by approving the Motion of Adjournment. Prior to approving the motion, the session deliberated on various aspects, including the nation's approach on addressing the basics of life. The deliberations began with queries on several issues such as efforts to explore investment opportunities in the BIMP-EAGA region.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism shared collaboration and investment opportunities in paddy planting, commercial food and livestock industry are being explored to further strengthen the nation's food security.
On citizenship application process, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs stressed that the application process adheres to the principles of justice, based on the stipulations underlined in the Brunei Nationality Act, Chapter 15.
Next was on the participation of local company owners. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development shared that the courses and briefings pertaining to the construction industry are held with the goal of empowering and enhancing the capacity of local contractors, specifically locally-owned companies.
