33 members of Labi Primary School, Belait District, comprising teachers, students and staff took part in a fire drill and building evacuation at the school, 9th August morning.
It was conducted by the Corporate Communications Division, Operation B Branch in collaboration with Labi Fire Station. The training scenario was set as an electrical box fire. No injuries were reported and all occupants were safely evacuated and gathered at a designated location. In addition to preparing school staff to face fire situations, the training also aimed to raise awareness, knowledge and prevention of fires as well as to test the effectiveness of the Standard Operating Procedures in the process of evacuating the building safely and orderly.
