A total of 48 penghulus and village heads representing 16 mukims nationwide have participated in the 'life saver 995 programme' briefing. Kuala Belait Operations 'B' Branch, Fire and Rescue Department carried out a briefing on fire safety and grassroots projects involving 6 grassroots leaders and 24 residents of Panaga National Housing Scheme, 7th August morning.
Present was Awang Azmi bin Haji Hafneh, Acting Director of Fire and Rescue who also handed over fire extinguisher equipment. The programme is hoped to provide basic knowledge to the community as first responders in dealing with a disaster.
