The Weights and Measures Unit, Industry and Business Ecosystem Division under Ministry of Finance and Economy, recently conducted verification and calibration of accuracy readings on two units of flow meter owned by Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad at Pekan Muara Supply Base, Brunei Muara District.
During the inspection and verification of the accuracy reading of the flow meter are valid, accurate and registered with SDT Unit in accordance to Weights and Measures Act 1983 Chapter 151.
Traders and users of weight and measures machine are required to comply as stipulated in the Weights and Measures (Verification) Regulations, 1994. Every person who uses or possession of any weight, measure or instrument for weighing not stamped as required by this regulation shall be guilty of an offence.
