A 43-year-old foreign road worker was killed after being struck by a car along Rimba Highway on Friday morning.
The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) said the accident occurred at about 11am near the traffic light junction at Simpang 177-10.
Initial investigations found that the victim was carrying out roadside cleaning work with several colleagues and was crossing the road to return to their vehicle when he was hit by a Perodua Kelisa driven by a 29-year-old local man.
The worker was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, while the driver sustained minor injuries and received treatment at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
The RBPF urged anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information or dashcam footage to assist the investigation by calling the Police Emergency Line 993 or visiting the nearest police station.
