Standard Chartered Securities recently hosted its H2 Market Outlook 2026 event, bringing together approximately 150 priority and affluent clients for an evening of market insights and investment perspectives.
The event featured expert speakers from Standard Chartered Bank and Allianz Global Investors, who shared their views on key economic trends, global markets and investment opportunities for the second half of 2026.
The event was opened by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Standard Chartered Securities Brenda Low, who welcomed guests and highlighted the importance of staying informed and maintaining a disciplined investment approach amid an evolving global environment.
In her welcoming address at the event, Brenda Low said, “To forge ahead does not mean ignoring challenges. It means moving forward with confidence, supported by insight, preparation and a clear strategy while recognising that although the terrain may shift, opportunities continue to emerge across sectors, asset classes and geographies. It also means being agile enough to adjust to changing conditions while remaining focused on your long-term financial aspirations.

A member of the bank’s Global Investment Committee, Heung shared the bank’s latest market outlook and investment views, drawing on more than three decades of experience across global financial markets.
The evening also featured Senior Product Specialist with Allianz Global Investors Karen Chen, who provided perspectives on income and growth opportunities, drawing on her extensive experience across fixed income, foreign exchange and portfolio management.
Together, the speakers explored the macroeconomic trends shaping markets, discussed potential risks and opportunities across asset classes, and highlighted the importance of diversification and long-term investing in helping clients achieve their financial goals.
The presentations were followed by an interactive panel discussion and question-and-answer session moderated by Senior Investment Counsellor at Standard Chartered Brunei Hazwan Kamarulzaman, where guests had the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers and gain deeper insights into current market developments and investment themes.
