Haj health screenings begin

The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), through the Haj Affairs Department, began health screenings for prospective pilgrims selected to perform the haj for the 1448 Hijrah /2027 season yesterday.

The medical examinations, which include consultations with doctors, are conducted according to an established district schedule.

For Temburong District, the screening was held at Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam Hospital in Bangar yesterday.

For Tutong District, screenings will take place at Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital today and tomorrow, with sessions running from 8.30am to 12.15pm and from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

For Belait District, screenings will be held at Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in Kuala Belait on October 8 and 10, 2026, operating from 8.30am to 12.15pm and from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

Meanwhile, health screenings for Brunei-Muara District will take place at Pusat Amal Cerah Sejahtera in Kampong Belimbing, Subok, Mukim Kota Batu, opposite Taman Riadah Tasik Sarubing, commencing on October 12, 2026 until completion. Operating hours will be from 8.30am to 12.15pm and from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

Prospective pilgrims are required to attend the health screening on their designated dates at the specified venues.

Attendees are advised to bring along their smart identity card, Bru-HIMS card, Health Record Book, and the Hajj Health Guide for Brunei Darussalam Pilgrims, as well as the yellow international health and vaccination booklet, if available.
