The Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Syariah Affairs Department, Halal Food Control Division, under the authority granted by the Islamic Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam, has REVOKED the Brunei Islamic Religious Council's Halal Certificate and Halal Supervisor Certificate issued to SYARIKAT ROSMAWEY located in Kampung Lambak, Berakas.
The revocation of the halal certificate on the company took effect on 10th of January 2026. The revocation was made following the discovery of 67.21 kilogrammes of raw meat with doubtful halal status at the premise involved, following the results of a routine monitoring conducted by the Halal Food Control Division. The case is being investigated under the relevant order which provides that any party found guilty of violating the order may be sentenced to two years imprisonment or a fine of BND8,000 or both.
