Halal certificates issued to premises

A total of 23 food premises across the country were granted halal certificates and/or permits by the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) in June 2026.

The approvals, issued through the Syariah Affairs Department Halal Food Control Division under the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), comprised applications for both new and renewed halal certificates and permits.

For new applications, 10 premises were granted halal certificates, while 13 premises received renewed halal certificates and one premises was granted a renewed permit.

The MoRA reminded food operators and the public that halal certification and permits are important in ensuring food products and services comply with the requirements and standards set under the halal laws of the country.

The public can obtain the complete list of food premises granted halal Certificates or Permits by visiting the official MoRA website or the Syariah Affairs Department Halal Food Control Division Instagram account.
