Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA through the Faculty of Halal Science and Sustainable Tourism, in collaboration with International Islamic University Malaysia, UIAM, organised the Halalan Thayyiban Intellectual Assembly 2025 seminar. It took place at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
The seminar was officiated Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metusin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. Also present was Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA. The keynote session emphasized the Spirituality aspect in Halal Industry Sustainability while the seminar's theme reflects the current challenges of the global halal industry, emphasizing the advancement of science and technology in strengthening the halal sector to remain relevant on the international stage. It also acts as a platform to enhance halal sustainability through the integration of Islamic knowledge, science and technology.
