Hibiscus EP (Brunei) B.V. (HEB) reaffirmed its commitment to youth development by recognising five outstanding students at the Sports School Award Ceremony, celebrating individuals who have demonstrated excellence in both academics and sports.
The Hibiscus Petroleum Awards were presented to five top performing students in recognition of their exceptional academic achievements while maintaining excellence in their sporting pursuits, which reflect HEB’s belief that success extends beyond the classroom, recognising the dedication, discipline, and perseverance required to excel both academically and athletically.
The ceremony, held at the Sports School Lecture Theatre in Kampong Pulaie on Monday, brought together students, parents, teachers, and school representatives to celebrate the achievements of young Bruneians who embody the values of commitment, resilience, and continuous improvement.
In his remarks, CSR Strategy and Local Value Creation Lead of HEB Yusrein Hady Abd Ghani emphasised the importance of investing in the nation’s future talent.
“At Hibiscus Petroleum, we believe that the greatest investment is not in buildings, technology, or even industry. It is in people. Especially young people. Because when young people combine passion with purpose, and talent with character, they have the power to transform communities, industries, and nations.”
The Hibiscus Petroleum Awards form part of HEB’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to developing future-ready talent and supporting initiatives that empower young people to reach their full potential.
By recognising students who exemplify excellence, leadership, and perseverance, HEB continues to invest in the next generation of individuals who will contribute to Brunei Darussalam’s sustainable growth and development.
HEB congratulated all award recipients and extended its appreciation to Sports School for its continued dedication to nurturing well-rounded students who excel both academically and in sport.
