His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam paid his last respects to Allahyarham 106 Retired Lieutenant Colonel Dato Setia Haji Mohd Samid Bin Haji Abdu; Aziz at Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Jerudong, 26th September morning. Also present were His Majesty's sons, daughter and sister.
Allahyarham passed away at Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre, PJSC. Allahyarham was conferred The Most Blessed Order of Setia Negara Brunei, DSNB Second Class, and have served in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces prior to retiring. Allahyarham was also known as the nation's shooting athlete who once elevated Brunei Darussalam's name in the regional stage. Allahyarham is survived with a wife, 4 children and 10 grandchildren. Allahyarham was laid to rest at the Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah cemetery.
