By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, it is hereby announced that His Majesty has consented to the renaming of the Department of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office to the Department of Energy, Upstream and Downstream at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The date of the renaming is effective from Monday, 19th of Safar, 1448 corresponding to August 3, 2026
