Honey products is synonymous with the Tungku and Katok Village Consultative Council, MPK as they have been working with Kelulut or stingless bee honey for almost ten years. Now, the One Village, One Product, 1K1P initiative has helped generate the economy of the villagers.
Since its production in 2016, MPK Tungku and Katok have placed great emphasis on the quality of the stingless bee honey. The spirit of mutual cooperation and close cooperation among MPK members has helped ensure that the product continues to receive a very encouraging response. From honey in bottles, now honey-based products have been diversified in production such as soap and in pill form. The production of honey products has generated income of more than 21 thousand Brunei Dollars.
As the main product of MPK Tungku and Katok, the stingless bee honey is not only a 1K1P initiative but also as the identity of Kampung Tungku and Katok.
With a price as low as 5 Brunei Dollars per bottle, the MPK Tungku and Katok stingless bee honey products has the potential as a premium product for overseas market.
