Honouring the Prophet through reflection

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) Islamic Religious Body on Thursday held the opening ceremony of Dikir Syarafil Anam in conjunction with the 1448 Hijrah Maulud Nabi Muhammad SAW Celebration at the Gadong Police Surau.

The ceremony began after the congregational Maghrib prayer with the recitation of Dikir Syarafil Anam, marking the commencement of activities in conjunction with the Maulud Nabi Muhammad SAW celebration. The ceremony was followed by the congregational Isyak prayer.

Commissioner of Police at the Royal Brunei Police Force Dato Paduka Seri Awang Sulaiman bin Alidin was the guest of honour. Chairman of the Islamic Religious Body Deputy Superintendent of Police Abdul Hafizazuddin bin Haji Abdul Wahab welcomed the guest of honour.

Directors, deputy directors, senior officers, officers of the RBPF, junior-ranking personnel and civilian staff also attended.

The event aimed to foster love and devotion towards Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), while encouraging participants to reflect on his struggles, noble character and Sunnah as guidance in their daily lives and in carrying out their duties.

Through such initiatives, it is hoped that the event will further strengthen ukhuwah and camaraderie among RBPF personnel, while instilling noble values and deepening their understanding and appreciation of Islamic teachings in fulfilling their responsibilities and duties towards the religion, nation and country.
