A foreign female was arrested in a joint raid operation conducted by the Ministry of Health on the 19th of July, after involved in providing illegal beauty services to clients at an apartment. During the operation, the authority has seized unnotified cosmetic products and medicinal products which were brought in without prescription.
The Ministry of Health urged that it is an offence under the Medicine Act Chapter 285 and reminded the public to be vigilant of beauty treatments by unlicensed individuals. Acting based on information from the public regarding beauty service advertisements on social media, the operation was also joined by the Royal Brunei Police Force; Royal Customs and Excise Department; Department of Immigration and National Registration as well as the Municipal Department.
