A delegation from Brunei Darussalam attended the Inauguration of 100 years of establishment of the Johor Islamic Religious Council and the 9th Multaqa Ulama' Darul Ta'zim. The country's delegation comprising Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence and Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs attended the ceremony at the special invitation of the Johor Islamic Religious Council.
The inauguration ceremony took place at Persada Johor International Convention Centre, Persada Hall Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Also in attendance was Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-haj ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Temenggong of Johor as the official representative of His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim, The Regent of Johor, as well as other members of the Johor Royal family. The presence of the country's delegation aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and establish strategic cooperation in Islamic affairs.
