Inspiring young minds

On September 1, 2026, K2 pupils from St Andrew’s School Kindergarten visited the Brunei Arts and Handicraft Centre as part of their learning theme on Brunei’s traditional culture and heritage.

During the visit, the pupils toured the various galleries, where they explored a wide range of traditional Bruneian handicrafts and learned about the nation’s rich cultural heritage.

They visited galleries showcasing weaving, silverwork, brassware, wood carving, songkok making, batik production, and basket weaving. The pupils also participated in a hands-on activity conducted by the centre’s staff, providing them with the opportunity to experience traditional craftsmanship firsthand.

The educational trip served as a meaningful extension of classroom learning, allowing pupils to deepen their appreciation and understanding of Brunei’s traditions and culture through observation, exploration, and active participation.
