Brunei Darussalam is internationally recognised for its well-established halal ecosystem and trusted halal certification system.
Meanwhile, Korea has continued to expand its halal agri-food sector through the development of halal-certified products and increasing engagement with global halal markets, said Ambassador of Korea to Brunei Darussalam Sun Nahmkook.
He said this during the Brunei-Korea Halal Agri-Food Seminar, adding that the seminar “will provide a valuable opportunity for stakeholders from both countries to exchange knowledge and experiences on halal certification systems and industry trends in the halal agri-food sector”.
Organised by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Brunei Darussalam Food Authority with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Brunei Darussalam, the event strengthens mutual understanding and promotes exchanges and cooperation between Brunei and Korea in the halal sector.
