225 graduates received Degrees and Diplomas at KUPU SB's 15th Convocation Ceremony this year. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam as Chancellor of KUPU SB conferred the degrees and diplomas to the graduates. The ceremony took place at the Chancellor Hall, Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
The recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, State Mufti.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, and Associate Professor Doctor Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani, Ra'es of KUPU SB.
The reading of Surah Al-Hujurat verses 4 to 7 was presented by the graduates. The Ra'es of KUPU SB in his welcoming speech touched on the new programmes offered by KUPU SB for the 2026/2027 academic session. His Majesty then proceeded to confer the degrees and diplomas to the graduates.
Of the 225 graduates, one graduate was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Religious Education; 21 graduates received the Master's Degree in Religious Education; 45 Postgraduate Diplomas in Religious Education; 76 Bachelor's Degrees in Religious Education and 82 received the Highest Diploma in Religious Education.
In recognition of students who produce high-quality research, KUPU SB introduces the Timely Graduate Recognition Award and the Excellent Research Award. Doa selamat was read by the State Mufti.
Prior to leaving, His Majesty witnessed the mini exhibition that highlighted various activities, programmes and achievements of KUPU SB.
