The area surrounding the Tutong Community Hall Complex Field was lively with activities as a community event featuring local vendors was officiated on Wednesday.
Running from August 26 to 30, the event brings together 70 local vendors, providing a platform to support and empower entrepreneurs, particularly those in the food and beverage sector.
It also gives vendors an opportunity to showcase and introduce their products and business offerings to a wider section of the community, while creating opportunities to expand business networks, reach new markets and increase sales through direct engagement with visitors. Acting Tutong District Officer Awang Haji Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri was the guest of honour at the opening.
Assistant Tutong District Officer Awangku Arif Anuar bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, along with penghulu mukim and village heads from Tutong District were present.
The organisers hope the event will encourage vendors to introduce new products while highlighting the creativity and uniqueness of locally produced goods.
The initiative also reflects continued efforts to support the growth of local businesses, encourage public support for locally produced goods and foster an entrepreneurial spirit and competitiveness among local entrepreneurs.
