Lucky winners walk away with prizes

Supa Save’s 28th Anniversary X BIBD Campaign concluded yesterday with Mohd Mui’zzuddin bin Umar crowned the grand prize winner, driving away with a BMW 118i M Sport.

Mohd Mui’zzuddin said he had been a regular Supa Save shopper even before the promotion and was unaware that his purchases had qualified him for the lucky draw. He described the win as “surreal” for himself and his family. He said he was still deciding whether to keep the prize for himself or share it with his wife, adding that he had yet to decide what he would ultimately do with it.

“I normally shop at Supa Save, even before the promotion. I wasn’t even aware that there was a promotion. It was only after I received a call from Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) informing me that my name had been picked for the lucky draw that I became aware of the promotion,” he said.

As a resident of Kuala Belait, he said Supa Save is a convenient choice due to its location, proximity to his workplace and the wide variety of products available. He added that he also appreciated the freshness of the products and typically spends between BND100 and BND200 on a grocery trip.

The winner also expressed his long-standing confidence in BIBD, which he has used since starting work around 10 years ago. He said he chose the bank because of its position as Brunei’s largest Islamic bank and its Syariah-compliant services.

The six-month customer appreciation campaign, organised in collaboration with BIBD, concluded yesterday with a final prize draw and presentation ceremony at Supa Save One Riverside, marking the culmination of a campaign that rewarded customers for their everyday purchases while encouraging convenient and secure cashless payments.

The collaboration combined Supa Save’s commitment to enhancing the customer shopping experience with BIBD’s card privilege programme, creating added value for shoppers through attractive rewards and exclusive opportunities to win throughout the campaign period.

Acting Head of Marketing, BIBD Ahmad Firdaus bin Pehin Dato Salim represented BIBD, while Supa Save was represented by its General Manager Darren Yap. Both gave away prizes to the winners.

The finalists also participated in a car key selection challenge ahead of the grand prize reveal, with each key being tested as anticipation built among the finalists and guests, culminating in the successful selection of the winning key and the crowning of the campaign’s grand prize winner. The final draw offered an impressive line-up of rewards, headlined by a BMW 118i M Sport as the grand prize, along with other prizes including a Samsung 75-inch UHD Smart TV, a Canon EOS R100 digital camera, a Samsung 65-inch UHD Smart TV, as well as BND100 Supa Save shopping vouchers awarded to eight consolation prize winners.

The remaining winners included Ho Hua Tim, who walked away with a Samsung 75-inch UHD Smart TV; Hajah Mastura binti Haji Abd Karim, who won a Canon EOS R100 Digital Camera with 32GB Memory Card; and Mohammad Safwan bin Sabli, who won the Samsung 65-inch UHD Smart TV. The finale marked the conclusion of a campaign that ran from February 14 to August 31, 2026, rewarding eligible BIBD credit and debit cardholders for their everyday purchases at participating Supa Save outlets. Throughout the campaign, customers enjoyed multiple opportunities to win a range of prizes across three prize draws.
