The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), together with departments, authorities and agencies under it, held a Dikir Syarafil Anam ceremony in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration at the Surau of Brunei International Airport.
The ceremony began with a congregational Maghrib prayer, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by surau imam Haji Mohammad Ashraf bin Haji Bujang, before proceeding with the recitation of Dikir Syarafil Anam.
Following a congregational Isyak prayer, the ceremony continued with the recitation of Dikir Asyarakal and concluded with the closing prayer and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The ceremony is among the ministry’s annual religious activities held to enliven the Maulidur Rasul celebration while commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), expressing love for the Prophet (pbuh), and reflecting on his services and sacrifices in conveying the message of Islam.
It also aimed to further uphold the Islamic faith and strengthen ukhuwah and ties of friendship among the staff of MTIC, together with its departments, authorities and agencies. Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos was the guest of honour.
Permanent secretary and deputy permanent secretaries at the MTIC, chief executive officers, heads of departments and divisions, senior officers, as well as officers and staff of the MTIC and its departments, authorities and agencies were also in attendance. – James Kon
