Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College recently held its Maulidur Rasul celebration, themed ‘Rasulullah SAW Suluh Aqidah’, at the college’s Student Learning and Services Centre.
Organised by the Department of Islamic Studies, the programme was held to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), while fostering greater love for the Prophet (pbuh) and strengthening understanding of Islamic teachings and the importance of aqidah (faith) in daily life.
A highlight of the programme was the special religious talk ‘Dua Jiwa Satu Matlamat berpandukan Sirah Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam’ delivered by Education Officer from the Counselling Division, Ministry of Education Haji Sammali bin Haji Adam.
The programme also featured a Doa Selamat and a Selawat Badariah performance, a quiz, presentation of a token of appreciation and a group photo session. The Selawat Badariah was performed by members of the Islamic Youth Club and the Islamic Students’ Council.
The programme aimed to foster greater love for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and appreciation of his life and struggles, strengthen the faith of the college community, and encourage participants to emulate the Prophet’s (pbuh) exemplary character and Sunnah in their daily lives.
It also sought to deepen appreciation of Islamic teachings and encourage their consistent practice, while strengthening the spirit of ukhuwah (Islamic brotherhood and unity).
College Principal Dayangku Hajah Nooramaliatifah binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad was the guest of honour.
