MinDef holds Maulidur Rasul forum

The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) yesterday held the Maulidur Rasul Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam Forum 1448 Hijrah / 2026 at Dewan Pahlawan, Berakas Garrison.

Permanent Secretary (Policy and Administration) at the MinDef Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim and Datin.

Service Commanders and the Joint Force Commander with their respective spouses, Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the MinDef, Directors and their spouses, as well as senior officers, officers, and personnel of the MinDef, alongside invited members of the RBAF Wives Welfare Body (BAKTI) were also in attendance.

The event commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a forum entitled ‘Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam Suluh Aqidah’.

The forum was moderated by Religious Teacher at the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) Pengiran Fakhrul Syakirin bin Pengiran Haji Zainuddin.

The topic was discussed and elaborated upon by three panellists: Deputy Director / Assistant Lecturer at the Centre for Research and Studies of Jawi and Turath Books, Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB) Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak; Director of the Training and Competency Development Centre, KUPU SB Pengiran Siti Katijah binti Pengiran Sulaiman; and Deputy Staff Officer at the Religious Inspectorate, JAMA’AT Captain Mohd Ayza Azrine bin Ayahani. Through the theme ‘Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam Suluh Aqidah’, the forum highlighted the importance of taking Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as an exemplary role model and source of guidance in all aspects of life.

Embracing his teachings and noble character not only serves as a foundation for developing faithful Muslims of exemplary character, but also contributes towards building families, organisations, and communities that remain steadfast in upholding the teachings of Islam.

The forum forms part of the MinDef’s annual programmes held to enliven the blessed month of Rabiulawal while commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

It aims to foster a deeper appreciation of the Prophet’s (pbuh) life, sacrifices, and noble character, while encouraging the application of his teachings in daily life and professional service.
