Four companies were issued with compound fines under the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Chapter 30. The offences were the outcome of a routine operation carried out by the Licensing and Enforcement Section, Brunei Muara District Office.
Nur Halima Sendirian Berhad, Bsd Sendirian Berhad, Arl Sendirian Berhad and Minsan Dcon Sendirian Berhad were each issued with $1,000 compound fines.
Meanwhile, between the 11th to the 19th of August 2025, six compound fines were issued to several individuals for littering in the Jerudong Beach area. Four locals were imposed with compound fines of $100 each. Two Indonesian citizens, were fined $300 and $100 respectively.
If in default, the case will be brought to court and if found guilty can be fined not more than $9,000 for an individual, and not more than $30,000 for a company or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 12 months or both.
