Two companies were issued compound fines by the Enforcement Unit of the Tutong District Office for violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act.
ZALIN WOOD ART FURNITURE SDN BHD and ROSAINI SR ENTERPRISE were each compounded $2,000. They were given seven days to settle the fine and in default the case will be brought to court.
If convicted, a fine of not less than $2,000 and not exceeding $10,000 may be imposed. For a second or subsequent offence, a fine of not less than $10,000 and not exceeding $30,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or both.
