Various fields of cooperation including exchange of doctors, nurses and medical professionals, and sending patients to undergo treatment in Thailand will be implemented through a Memorandum of Understanding. The MoU was signed between the Ministry of Health and the BNH Medical Centre Limited of Thailand, and between Jerudong Park Medical Centre, JPMC and the same company. It was held at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.
In attendance was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. Signing on behalf of the Ministry of Health was Doctor Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, the Acting Permanent Secretary at the ministry. Meanwhile, BNH Medical Centre Limited was represented by Doctor Nopparat Panthongwiriyakul, the hospital's director. Doctor Meera Sahib Kabeer signed on behalf of JPMC. Also present was Her Excellency Boosara Kanchanalai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam.
