The Mosque Affairs Department team were crowned champions of the Futsal Championship held in conjunction with the 70th Anniversary Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Pelita Brunei newspaper after defeating Radio Television Brunei (RTB) 3-0 in the final, at the Public Works Department Sports Complex yesterday.
Organised by the Information Department through its Pelita Brunei division, the championship featured nine teams divided into two groups.
The group stage matches were held on September 13, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
The championship aimed to foster unity, teamwork and healthy lifestyles through sporting activities among the participating teams.
Permanent Secretary (Public Service Administration) at the Prime Minister’s Office Ajman bin Haji Meludin witnessed the final and presented the prizes.
