The Mosque Open Day Programme provides an opportunity for the public, tourists and the younger generation to get to know the mosque better, which not only functions as a centre of worship, but also as a place to spread knowledge and strengthen Islamic relations. The programme organised by Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque Takmir Committee in conjunction with the 67th anniversary of the mosque.
The programme was officiated by Yang Berhormat Awang Lawi bin Haji Lamat, Member of the Legislative Council. The Programme was hoped to attract the involvement of the community, including children, youth and tourists in mosque activities as well as introducing the Islamic arts, culture and heritage through various events such as Dikir and Tausyeh presentation as well as silat performance.
