The awarding of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Sultan's Scholar scholarship began in 2006, with the goal of producing outstanding leaders who can contribute towards the nation's economic, social, and religious development. For the recipients, the awarding of the scholarship will surely motivate them to achieve excellence, and contribute towards the nation's progress.
